I wanted to share a brief update, mostly for context. Over the last couple of months I’ve been noticeably quieter online. That hasn’t been accidental. I’ve been tightening up my commercial setup. I’ve been simplifying where my time goes. And I’ve been getting very clear on what I’m actually building and who I’m building it for. This has been the least active I’ve been on social media in years. Yet at the same time, it’s been a record month financially. That contrast has been useful. It clarified a few things about where my work is actually coming from and where I want to focus going forward. With that in mind, I wanted to bring you up to speed on what I’m building and how my work is now structured. If you’ve followed me on LinkedIn, you likely know me for my writing on addiction in the early days. Then in 2024-25, it was solopreneurship, particularly for transformational coaches and therapists. But there is a large part of my work that I rarely talk about publicly. For the last four years, I have been working behind the scenes with my business partner, Kyran. We have been building a company called Total Mental Performance (TMP). We built TMP into a mental performance consultancy that has delivered over 500 client transformations. I personally delivered around 150 of those results as a senior coach before moving into a strategy role last year. Going into 2026, we are making this partnership official and launching two specific vehicles for coaches. 1) TMP Certification This is for coaches who want to master the actual craft of coaching. We are teaching the exact framework we used to get those 500+ results. It’s about how to run sessions properly and create repeatable outcomes. It is not about how to build a personal brand. 2) The TMP Collective This is my main professional focus for this year. It is the bridge between learning the skill and monetising it. Kyran leads the performance side (supervision, mindset, delivery standards). I lead the business side (strategy, offers, content, and sales systems). The goal is to help coaches build a sustainable, leveraged business. We want them to do this without having to become a “content creator” or pretend to be someone they are not. What I’ve been working on privately Alongside TMP, I’m still working directly with a small number of founders and operators. The people I’m working with tend to fall into a narrow profile. They are already senior, already earning, and already competent. Typical examples include fractional executives, consultants, and founder-led service businesses. Usually, they have reached a point where growth is being limited by founder load rather than demand. The work itself is not motivational coaching. It focuses on business architecture, decision support, and mental performance conditioning. The goal is to allow founders to remove themselves as the bottleneck without destabilising the business. Over the last month, I’ve closed several of these long-form engagements. This includes a 12-month strategic partnership and multiple 1:1 extensions, totalling around £25k in new work. All of it came through relationships, referrals, and prior delivery rather than content volume. That’s been a useful signal about where my time is best spent. What this means for my own practice I am still running my private practice. But I’m keeping it intentionally small. My 1:1 work is now selective and long-term. The majority of my energy is going into building the TMP Ecosystem into a serious education and standards-based business. I’ll share more details on both soon. I will also share a few lessons from the last month that feel worth documenting. For now, I’d love to know how 2026 is looking for you so far... Has January been a strong month? Let me know yes or no and why. I’ll provide some pointers if I can. Speak soon, PS. I have two resources for you depending on where you are at.1) For Founders I have a short video on my personal site. It explains exactly why people struggle to break through the $10k/month ceiling. It also covers the specific blockers involved and how I help clients solve them. It requires no email opt-in. 2) For Coaches If you want to see the standard we are building with the TMP Certification. You can watch a short video from Kyran explaining the vision. You can also join the waitlist for our next cohort in April. |

I keep coming back to this because I honestly think it’s one of the most interesting branding decisions I’ve seen in years. About a year ago, Jaguar put out a campaign that effectively told the world they were done with who they used to be. This is a brand historically associated with British elegance, restrained power, heritage, and a very specific idea of class. The campaign made it clear that version was over. What fascinates me isn’t the aesthetic or whether I like it (for what it’s...
For the last few years, my business has been tied to LinkedIn. Every piece of content, every conversation and every client was all organic. And it worked... It built the business from the ground up. But a creeping feeling started to set in... When your entire business depends on a single platform and a single type of content, you’re not an owner. You’re a tenant building your house on someone else’s land and you’re always at the mercy of... The algorithm The silly trends The platform’s...
I love seeing this happen: Another community client just upgraded to 1:1 with me. That’s £4,000 this month from people who were already part of my world. No new leads required. Unlike most coaching business owners, I see revenue in two distinct ways: 1) New Client Flow Revenue from fresh leads coming into the business. 2) In-House Revenue Money generated from people who already know, like, and trust me enough to have paid me before. Honestly, the second category is where the magic is. But it...
